Destiny 2 - Gunsmith Focusing

Season of the Witch is still ongoing in Destiny 2, but Bungie is already prepping for Season 23. The recent “This Week in Destiny confirmed that Gunsmith Focusing would be added, allowing players to focus on specific Foundry weapons.

There are some conditions. Only weapons released from Season 16 to 19 will be available, but on the positive side, they won’t be included in the world drops for Legendary Engrams. It increases the chances of obtaining other weapons, including the new armor set added in Season 22. Only two Foundries will be available to focus and rotate daily.

The following weapons will be part of the Gunsmith’s Focusing pool in Season 23:

Suros

  • Cantata-57
  • Syncopation-53
  • Fugue-55
  • Staccato-46
  • Pizzicato-22
  • Fioritura-59

Häkke

  • Palmyra-B
  • Perses-D
  • Ragnhild-D
  • Enyo-D
  • Boudica-C
  • Lodbrok-C

Veist

  • Krait
  • Redback-5si
  • Funnelweb
  • Lunulata-4b
  • Taipan-4fr
  • Jararaca-3sr

Omolon

  • Snorri FR5
  • Typhon GL5
  • Ogma PR6
  • Gallu RR3
  • Ammit AR2
  • Aurvandil FR6

Gunsmith Focusing will replace the six weapons that Banshee-44 stocks. When Season 24 hits, players can expect Season 20 weapons in the focusing pool and Field-Forged weapons to get their own category. As for the cost, focusing requires three Gunsmith Engrams and 5,000 Glimmer. While you could rank up Reputation to earn Engrams, they can also drop from Lost Sector completions (with Master and Platinum ranking providing the highest chance) and chests in free roam.

Stay tuned for more details on Season 23 in the coming months. Destiny 2 is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Its next expansion, The Final Shape, arrives on February 27th, 2024. Check out its new subclasses and Supers here.
