Destiny 2: Season of Dawn – New Dynamo Mod Disabled

Due to players regenerating Supers instantly, the new mod has effectively been made useless.

Destiny 2 Season of Dawn

Destiny 2 is celebrating the dawn – pun intended – of a new season with Season of Dawn. However, despite the numerous things that work, there are certain things that perhaps work a little too well. Case in point, the new Dynamo armor mods.

Essentially, the mod is for Void class items and it reduces the cooldown of one’s Super when using their class ability. The recent update made it so that multiple versions of the same mod can stack. Unfortunately, it seems the results are a little too good – as Gladd’s tweet showcases below, it’s possible to receive one’s entire Super with a single cast of the class ability.

Of course, before it could completely and utterly destroy any semblance of PvE and PvP balance, Bungie effectively “disabled” the mod. It can still be equipped but it won’t grant any cooldown reduction for one’s Super after using a class ability. We’ll have to wait and see how Bungie hotfixes the issues so stay tuned for more details until then.
