Destiny 2 Season of Opulence_03

The newest season of content for Destiny 2 Annual Pass holders, Season of Opulence, is going live today. It brings with it a new six-player activity called the Menagerie and a new raid called Crown of Sorrow. To appropriately hype players up for the raid, Bungie has released a new trailer.

There’s not too much to see raid-wise, but there are glimpses of new gear, Hive enemies, and whatnot. The “story” of the raid sees players returning to the Leviathan at the behest of Calus to terminate a former Loyalist. As it turns out, this Loyalist was given an Ascendant Hive relic and has gone bonkers. Who would’ve thought?

When Crown of Sorrow goes live, other raid activities that could boost players to the new Power level cap will be locked. This is to ensure a more even playing field for those seeking World’s First. Stay tuned for more details – Crown of Sorrow goes live at 4 PM PDT today.
