Bungie has released a new ViDoc on Season of the Drifter, Destiny 2’s next big season of content. The focus this time is on The Drifter, the shady guy introduced in Forsaken who commands Gambit mode. The Drifter has some interesting secrets this time around, and they’ll feed into the new Gambit Prime.

Described as a short, single round and a “sweaty” version of Gambit, Gambit Prime will look to have mechanically tougher, “raid-like” bosses that require players to work together. Interestingly, Bungie is also leaning into Gambit Roles, with players being able to choose whether they’re invaders, defenders, or Mote collectors. This will be possible through new armour sets which glow different colours depending on the corresponding role.

Where do you get these armour sets? From The Reckoning, a new PvE activity taking place in the Plains of the Nine (yes, the same faction that Xur is a part of). Players will cut through different tiers of overwhelming enemies as the season progresses and earn different armour for Gambit Prime. Check out which activity goes live on what day below.

Destiny 2’s Season of the Drifter begins on March 5th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. An update for the sandbox, which changes Gambit, various weapons, and much more will go live on the same day.
