Destiny 2 – Solstice of Heroes is Live, Bungie Investigating Bright Dust Issues

The developer is looking into weekly and repeatable Solstice bounties not giving Bright Dust.

Destiny 2 Solstice of Heroes 2020

Solstice of Heroes has returned in Destiny 2, offering a limited time event for players to upgrade and restore old armor. The overall look of this year’s Majestic armor set is nice but if you want to keep it as a universal ornament, you’ll need to spend Bright Dust or Silver. Here’s the problem – Bright Dust bounties are currently bugged.

Players reported weekly and repeatable Solstice bounties not giving Bright Dust as soon as the event went live. Given that universal ornaments (and their accompanying elemental glows) cost thousands of Bright Dust, not having a source of income for the same is an issue. Fortunately, Bungie is aware of this and is currently investigating.

Solstice of Heroes will last until September 8th so there’s enough time to upgrade and restore one’s armor. A fix for Bright Dust bounties will hopefully arrive in the coming weeks. Season of Arrivals will continue until November since the next expansion, Beyond Light, was delayed to November 10th. You can check out gameplay for the new Stasis classes here.
