Destiny 2 The Edge of Fate

Bungie recently held a livestream to showcase what players can expect in Destiny 2’s next expansion, The Edge of Fate. There were some pretty cool reveals, including the new Heavy Crossbow, rocket-propelled Pulse Rifles, and more. However, it also shared a video detailing what you can expect on Kepler and how you’ll get around.

The new destination is a place touched by The Nine, where a race of humans, the Aionians, settled. You also have to deal with the Eliksni House of Exile, corrupted by Dark Matter and led by a new Archon. Guardians, on the other hand, can leverage Dark Matter to unlock new traversal abilities – Matterspark turns you into an Arc energy ball, while Mattermorph can create platforms.

It’s even possible to teleport around the Fallen’s network using the new Relocator. Earning new upgrades allows for transforming these abilities for combat, including an option to use Matterspark anywhere on Kepler and suspend targets with Mattermorph.

The core mystery seemingly revolves around a mysterious singularity at the core of Kepler, and hopefully, it doesn’t turn into The Veil 2.0. Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate launches on July 15th, with the second Developer Livestream due next week, so stay tuned for more details.
