Destiny 2 Season of the Drifter

In its latest “This Week At Bungie“, Destiny 2 developer Bungie outlined plans for the game’s next update. Update 2.2.1 is planned for April 9th and will contain some much needed increases to drop rates for cosmetics. If you’ve been chasing the Ghost, ship and Sparrow from The Dreaming City or The Last Wish raid, then this update will see the drop rates “doubled, tripled, or more for their respective activities.”

There have also been those complaining about One Thousand Voices, The Last Wish Exotic, not dropping even after several runs. You can expect the drop weight to be “tuned” to allow for “slightly better chances.” Lore Books for Cayde’s Stash, The Dreaming City, and the Tangled Shore will also have their drop rates increased.

Update 2.2.1 should also signal the start of Arc Week. No further details were provided, but it will be a means to “celebrate Arc Energy” in the Season of the Drifter. Perhaps all activities will see an increase to Arc damage doled out? It will certainly be an interesting gameplay addition, especially since Arc Burn as a modifier is usually confined to Nightfall and Heroic Strikes. As usual, stay tuned for more details.
