In the midst of a Reddit user datamining icons and scripts for what appears to be the Crimson Days event for Destiny 2, community manager Cozmo confirmed that the event was indeed returning. His Reddit comment states, “The rumors are true. Crimson Days is coming back. It won’t be the same as last time (2016).”
Cozmo also noted that there will be more information on the same in January 11th’s blog update. At the very least it seems that Crimson Days will be part of the next season of content with Valentine’s Day themed Bright Engrams, ornaments, activities and the return of Crimson Doubles.
Though these files existed in the PC client package before The Dawning took place, it’s highly likely that Bungie makes changes to how it disperses rewards based on the blowback against Eververse. Other changes including the end-game, bug fixes, key cosmetics being locked behind Eververse and much more will also hopefully be detailed in the upcoming blog.
