Bungie’s Destiny 2 is still very much a work in progress especially with regards to features from the first game being added back in. Game director Christopher Barrett, who’s in charge of the live team, has updated the road map and offered information on upcoming Crucible modes.

For instance, on March 27th, the Weekly Crucible Playlist will be available and will circulate between Rumble, Mayhem and Iron Banner 6v6 in the beginning. Certain modes will only appear at certain dates – Rumble is up first, followed by Mayhem (April 3rd), Iron Banner (April 10th), Rumble (April 17th), Mayhem (April 24th) and Iron Banner (May 1st).

Unfortunately, Heroic Strike modifiers have been delayed due to a major issue discovered recently. The feature will be pushed to update 1.2.0 but at the very least, there will be more variety offered (as originally planned).

So is there much reason to return to Destiny 2? That will depend on how the upcoming update fares for the sandbox, especially in the Crucible when it comes to Power ammo, time to kill and movement speed. As always, we’ll wait and see.
