Destiny 2’s Raid is “Unlike Anything We’ve Done” – Luke Smith

Director says that it's "a place that you believe could exist."

Bungie’s Destiny 2 will have a raid, much like its predecessor. There isn’t a whole lot known about it other than possibly taking place in The Last City and through the Tower, which was devastated by Ghaul’s Red Legion.

In a recent interview with Mashable, director Luke Smith shared some teases about the nature of the new raid. While reflecting back on past raids, Smith said that, “Raid 5, when we looked at it, it was about building a place you believe is real. That was our priority.”

Furthermore, when getting fairly giddy about the whole deal, he laughed and said, “A place that you believe could exist. It’s unlike anything we’ve done. The team is incredibly talented; it is a joy to see them work.”

This seems like the raid could take place in a real-world building but far into the future. It wouldn’t be shocking but definitely a nice change of pace from previous Destiny encounters.

Destiny 2 is out on September 6th for Xbox One and PS4. The PC version releases on October 24th
