Bungie’s Destiny recently held its beta testing phase for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4 and saw 4.5 million players take part. This made it not only the largest beta in this console generation but the biggest console beta for any new IP till date. Bungie was quick to thank fans for the feedback and support afterwards.

However, in a recent conference call to investors, Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg said that while minor adjustments were being made to the gameplay, “I would describe this as tweaks and not major changes, as we saw the fundamentals of the game to be very strong.

“And the good news is because we got 4.6 million players into the beta we were able to test the back-end in scale and it performed really well and stably. We think we’re ready for a great launch with a great partner in Bungie.”

What are your thoughts on that? Let us know below. Destiny will launch on September 9th worldwide.
