Bungie has finally announced the long-rumored mobile adaptation of DestinyDestiny: Rising. Developed and published by NetEase, it’s in development for iOS and Android with a closed alpha scheduled for November 1st. Check out the first trailer below.

Destiny: Rising features many of the same tenets as Bungie’s console/PC shooter, with players controlling Guardians who battle against the Vex, Hive, and other enemies. However, the trailer showcases new Supers, like a Hunter focused on Solar melee slices and a Warlock with a Void scythe.

There’s also the option to play in third-person along with first-person mode, though Xbox, PlayStation and other mobile controllers are supported. In a press release, NetEase Games senior vice president Ethan Wang said, “With Destiny: Rising, NetEase Games is honored to partner with Bungie to deliver a Destiny-caliber experience to mobile devices.

Destiny is an incredible franchise with a passionate and dedicated global fanbase. As huge fans ourselves, we are humbled and thrilled for the opportunity to bring gamers an action-packed RPG shooter set within the Destiny universe.”

Bungie creative lead Terry Redfield said, “For over a decade, we have built this universe to contain many unique and wonderful stories, and we are excited to see mobile gamers be able to experience this new take on the Destiny universe from the creative team at NetEase.”

Head here to register for the upcoming closed alpha. As for Destiny 2, it recently saw the start of Episode 2: Revenant, with players battling against Fikrul, the Fanatic, and his undying Scorn forces. A new dungeon, Vesper’s Host, is also available.
