Destiny: Top 15 Things the Next Expansion Shouldn’t Have

There are plenty of things Bungie shouldn't have in future DLCs. Here are a few.

Pathetic Nightfall Rewards

What happened to the Nightfall? Bungie may have removed the “Nightfall” modifier which kicks teams back to orbit when everyone dies but it also nerfed any particular reason to play it. The Nightfall buff is no more, which means you don’t get increased XP or rep for the week (and it doesn’t help that both have been reduced overall for activities and bounties). You no longer obtain 500 Rep for completing the Nightfall, making it all the more difficult to rank up factions. The Burn modifiers now only cause players to do twice the amount of elemental damage while enemies can do triple the amount of damage. Did we mention the paltry rewards? Antiquated runes, Three of Coins and Strange Coins, along with Legendary weapons and gear that have lower stats than current equipment, are hardly enough incentive to undertake one of Destiny’s tougher challenges. It also doesn’t help that Bungie’s excuse for the Nightfall not having matchmaking – the “kicking to orbit” modifier – no longer holds water.

Bungie could improve the Nightfall by actually bringing back the sizable rep and experience boosts that players receive, or at least create a better loot table that doesn’t include items players could easily obtain in other activities. Though the difficulty may have been reduced somewhat, the Nightfall still isn’t something that players could solo, even with enough time (Undyin Mind with Solar Burn? Yeesh).
