Bungie Studios showcased the world gameplay premiere of Destiny with a 12 minute trailer that showcased multiple classes, shooting mechanics, varied environments and an active event which saw 7 players into a skirmish with ships, aliens, the works.

Did we mention that the Thunderlord is our new favourite toy? Because it is and nothing can change our minds. Except if we find a better stash of loot somewhere. It depends. Check out the gameplay trailer to see just what makes Destiny so special in our eyes.

President and Group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Andrew House took the stage to announce that Sony had entered into a “long-term exclusive partnership” with Bungie. We’re sure this means timed exclusive DLC and updates, along with incentives for PS4 consumers. How far this will compare to the effects of Titanfall being exclusive to the Xbox One and Xbox 360 remains to be seen however.

Destiny is scheduled to release in 2014 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4.
