Devil May Cry 5 is real. After its reveal at Microsoft’s E3 2018 presser and a release set for Spring 2019, we’re finally stepping back into the shoes of the demon hunters after almost a decade.

Capcom released new information on the hack and slash title along with screenshots from the new trailer. Though it’s been years since the forces of Hell have been on Earth, a new invasion has begun. Red Grave City is the battleground with a “demon tree” having taken root.

It’s up to three demon hunters – Nero, Dante and an unconfirmed character – to combat it. Each has their own unique playstyle as well – Nero has lost his demonic arm but uses a mechanic replacement developed by his new partner Nico. Dante is back, looking for revenge against the murder of his mother and Vergil’s corruption. The real question is – where’s Vergil?

Developed using RE Engine (which Resident Evil 7 also utilized), players will see “photorealistic character designs and stunning lighting and environmental effects.” In development for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, Devil May Cry 5 is certainly a sight for sore eyes.
