Devil May Cry HD Collection

When Capcom announced that Devil May Cry was coming to the Nintendo Switch, we thought this meant the entire Devil May Cry HD Collection. But no, it’s actually just the first game, which itself is from the collection. It will be releasing on June 25th in the West and June 27th in Japan.

Costing $19.99 on the Nintendo eShop, Devil May Cry will support a number of language options like English, Japanese, Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Chinese. The game introduces everyone’s favourite demon-slaying hero Dante, who must investigate the return of the demon emperor Mundus.

Despite the fixed camera angles a la Resident Evil, Devil May Cry garnered acclaim for its combat and combo system. There are currently no plans to bring the second and third game to Switch, sadly. You can check out our review of Devil May Cry HD Collection here – it’s available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Or you can read our review for Devil May Cry 5, the latest chapter in the saga that’s currently also available on those same platforms.
