Digimon Survive Has Been Delayed To 2021

The long in development title suffers another pushback.

Digimon-Survive

Say what you will about the Digimon series, but Bandai Namco has shown they can be brave with the franchise. It’s gone through many different genres and the developer has largely been free to experiment with it. One such experiment was Digimon Survive, a genre-bending title that was looking quite strange. At one point, the game was meant to come out as early as 2019, but it seems we’ll have to be waiting even longer unfortunately.

Despite insistence earlier in the year that Survive would come in 2020, it was announced via the official Twitter today that the game will be pushed back once again. While they don’t get into specifics, it does seem to imply the impact of COVID is the main culprit. The game is set to take from multiple genres such as visual novels, tactical RPGs and survival titles.

Digimon Survive is now set to launch in 2021 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
