Shortly after announcing their plans for E3, Bethesda have detailed plans for this July’s QuakeCon. This year will see the convention focus on the storied history of the long-run DOOM series. The official Twitter account of QuakeCon recently put up an update where it teased plenty of DOOM stuff at this year’s convention, while dubbing 2019 “The Year of DOOM“.

The newest installment, the upcoming DOOM Eternal, was revealed at last year’s E3 and was recently confirmed to be coming to Google’s newest streaming service Stadia. It is also slated to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. Bestheda and id Software have yet to give a specific release date for the game, but with QuakeCon being a celebration of the franchise it’s hopeful we’ll see the game demoed and possibly a release date.

QuakeCon 2019 will run from July 25-28 at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Dallas, Texas. Tickets and registration will go live April 11.
