There are some stories and franchise that it seems like no matter how many times you revisit them, it never gets old to people. Case in point, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, the latest Dragon Ball video game adaptation, goes through the Z saga, something players have done dozens of times. Yet, people seemed to have bought the game in droves, and it was met with pretty good acclaim. Now, it’s time to go beyond with the first major update.

It was announced earlier that the game’s first major expansion would be A New Power Awakens – Part 1. It will retell the events of Battle of the Gods (or the first arc of Dragon Ball Super, if you prefer) where Goku and Vegeta are confronted with powerful Gods. The update will include a new storyline and a new power up. The expansion will launch next week, publisher Bandai Namco announced.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. A New Power Awakens – Part 1 will release across all platforms on April 28th.
