The Dragon Ball franchise is hot once again, maybe hotter than its ever been, and there’s more Dragon Ball related gaming content right now than you can shake a stick at. That includes last year’s Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot, which saw you play through the entire Z saga, with DLC that went into Super. Now it’s time to take a detour, one ironically enough with very little of the titular character.

It was announced that the third DLC, which was teased near the end of last year, would go to a future that never was with Trunks: The Warrior of Hope. The expansion will follow Trunks in his alternate future where the Androids have defeated most of the main cast and Goku died because of a heart disease. Gohan serves as a trainer to a young Trunks in a future that is ravaged by the villains.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Trunk: The Warrior of Hope will release some in Summer of 2021.
