Rift Crystals take on a new function in Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen, shifting from a currency for Pawn recruitment to one that is specifically required for identifying Spoils. Once Jiera, matron of the Norgandian Settlement has received her payment in Rift Crystals, she can appraise these mystery Spoils and transform them from their status as useless millstones into useful Relics.
This Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen is all about grinding the now endgame critical currency that are Rift Crystals quickly and efficiently with minimal effort.
How To Farm Rift Crystals (RC)
The Thief’s Plunder is your best mechanic for sourcing nigh unlimited quantities of Rift Crystals. Simply deploy it on Phantoms, Phantasms, and Specters, as the opportunity presents. This enemy type or class is rife along mountain trails to Norgan, specifically at night time.
Consider having your Main Pawn also be a Thief running Plunder, in order to double dip the Rift Crystal farming potential during encounters.
Once a spawn location is exhausted, simply rest for a while at a campsite to reset the area.
With enough Relics accumulated, a good strategy is to then equip and arm a Pawn to the teeth, in order to rent them out to other players who will be willing to part with their Rift Crystals in exchange for some asymmetric assistance in Norgan.
And remember to cash out those earnings often, by resting at a home or an Inn.
Some elites and bosses in the new region can be repeatable sources for large chunks of Rift Crystals. Whether their difficulty in combat makes those rewards worth the effort needed to take them down is based on your current gear and skill level.
That is everything there is to know about farming for the Rift Crystals you will be needing for all that Relic Appraisal in Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen.
