Dragon's Dogma 2

In the recent 10th-anniversary celebration video for Dragon’s Dogma, director Hideaki Itsuno confirmed that Dragon’s Dogma 2 is in development. No release window or platforms were announced but considering the first game launched in 2011, fans will probably be satisfied (for now). Thankfully, a recent tweet confirmed that the sequel is in development on RE Engine.

Furthermore, it will “begin the cycle anew.” This could simply be interpreted as telling a brand new story in the world of Gransys. However, it could also reference the Endless Chain which forms the crux of the first game. Without giving away any spoilers, it should be interesting to see where the story goes from here and whether players will take control of another Arisen.

In the meantime, Dragon’s Dogma is currently available for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch. It also received the Dark Arisen DLC, which adds a new area, enemies and boss fights for experienced players. For more details on the base game, check out our review here.
