The beta for Dreams was originally announced to be hitting this year, but you will be excused if your thought that it would be silently delayed into next year, even in spite of assurances from the developers that it would indeed happen. Not only is that the kind of thing that has happened with this specific game previously, but also, Media Molecule and Sony have been pretty quiet on the game for most of the last 12 months, and December 31 of this year rapidly approaches.
Nonetheless, even though you would be excused for believing so, you would also be wrong, because Media Molecule announced today that the beta for the game will still come out in 2018. As in within the next 40 days. Not only that, but Media Molecule is also letting the community vote on what level the creators will create in game for the players to experiment with and in during the beta.
Hopefully, this is indication that the game, which was announced years ago now, is nearing the end of its development, and that players will be able to experiment with it soon when the final game launches. Make sure to check out the new footage from the game, which showed us its campaign, if you haven’t already.
