Dreams Campaign Gameplay Revealed in New Footage

The stages showcased were created entirely with in-game tools.

Media Molecule has a reputation for providing extensive game creation tools, starting with its LittleBigPlanet series, and its upcoming PS4 exclusive Dreams is no different. However, if you’re someone who wants to pick it up and jump right in to play something readymade, there are three different stories in the main campaign to play through. Each contains stages with film noir, sci-fi, and other influences.

As part of Game Informer’s ongoing coverage for the game, the sci-fi stages were showcased in a new gameplay trailer. In it, we can see a robot named Debug, who can breath life into different things using electricity. However, what’s more intriguing is that players can create stages with the variety of tools on offer. A full modular AI programming is among said tools, which is pretty crazy, all things considered.

Dreams still doesn’t have a release date, but it’s making great progress. From being able to create and upload one’s creations to experiencing others, creating new stages, and entire games in the process, there’s quite a lot to look forward to.
