Dreams - Art's Dream

Though it’s not the most hyped release of the year, Media Molecule’s Dreams is still an important exclusive. It’s essentially a game creation suite which can be used to create music, art and much more, like a PS One demake of The Last of Us Part 2. There’s even a campaign called “Art’s Dream” though it probably won’t last as long as the developer’s previous ventures.

IGN was recently able to go hands-on with the campaign and revealed that it’s only 2 to 3 hours long. As promised though, it features a variety of mechanics, art-styles and genres while also being the developer’s most mature story till date. So there’s definitely plenty of quality packed into that playtime.

Interestingly enough, despite being created using the game’s own toolset, “Art’s Dream” can’t be altered. Collectibles can instead be discovered that will provide different music, characters and so on that players can use in their creations. Dreams is out on February 14th for PlayStation 4 – stay tuned for more details en route to release.
