Media Molecule’s Dreams is out next month and the developer recently announced on Twitter that it’s gone gold. Principle development is more or less finished, discs can be sent for manufacturing and the title can be readied for digital distribution. Considering how long its development cycle has been, this a momentous occasion indeed.

Dreams was available on the PlayStation Store in early access form until December 7th. A few days later, Sony would confirm at its State of Play presentation that a full release was slated for February 14th 2020. There will be a full story mode at launch with different stories to explore, each showcasing a different aesthetic and genre.

More importantly, they serve as examples for what can be created in Dreams. The game creation tools will be expanded with more tutorials also added to help new players out. As the first major PS4 exclusive of 2020, and perhaps one of its last few as the PS5’s release in the holiday season draws near, we’re excited to see where Dreams goes. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
