Stubbs and Cannibalism
In 2009, the latest controversy surrounding video games courtesy of the National Institute on Media and the Family was cannibalism. Basically, because games like FEAR and Stubbs the Zombie in Rebel Without a Pulse had cannibalism, they were deemed to send a bad message to kids. The same argument of violent video games being easily accessible to children was also brought up. At least where Stubbs was concerned, the NIMF failed to realize that Stubbs is a zombie and zombies eating brains – and kids watching them do so – has been around since the late 1960s.
