While you’ll scrounge up resources, crafting materials and even weapons by simply exploring the world of Dying Light 2 Stay Human, Old World Money is the most important currency. Along with being used to purchase better gear, weapons and mods, it’s also used to upgrade current equipment like throwing knives, medkits and so on. While selling unused equipment and any discovered valuables is key, there are other ways to easily net tons of Old World Money.

The first, as described by DPJ in the video below, is to have the Larch Windmill unlocked. From there, look southwest for the Forsaken Store. Go here in the daytime, head inside, aggro the Infected and then pull them all towards the entrance. Due to being unable to pass through the door, they’ll be ripe for the picking and you can easily kill them with any weapon. Once they’re dead, collect all of the different Trophies, materials and Old World Money.

You’ll also find Crystals at this location which can be sold for 200 Old World Money a piece. Return to the Windmill, and sell off whatever you can and then quit the game. Resume and return to the Forsaken Store and repeat the process since all of the Infected will have respawned. The Crystals won’t immediately be available again so you’ll need to wait for a bit. Overall though, not a bad way to earn cash and it’s low-level enough for players still at the start to farm.

For those who want something a bit more dangerous, there’s the nighttime. Most of the Infected will be out at night, leaving various lairs to be looted for crafting parts and other resources. You’ll want to locate a Dark Hollow since these have more valuables which can be sold for lots of Old World Money. One good location is the Alder Windmill which has a Dark Hollow near it. Go in, loot whatever you can and then return to sell the valuables along with any gear that you don’t need.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is currently available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. Check out the latest patch, which adds support for Variable Refresh Rate on Xbox Series X, here.
