E-Xpress Games: Indian Gaming Market Could Grow to $500 Mil in Annual Revenue

Software sales could reach 500,000 copies per annum.

E-xpress Interactive recently hosted its second annual Interact 2013 trade event, which saw attendance from retailers such as Landmark, Planet M, Flipkart and may more. In a welcome note for the same, CEO and founder Anand Khemani stated that the Indian gaming market could grow to earning half a billion dollars in annual revenue from PC and console games.


“The present eco system is ready to take it ahead, as we now have a channel of active retailers and business partners who have invested and can bring more investments in this business as it grows, media is covering more and more news and articles on gaming , more than 10 million household that can afford the gaming console and it can be marketed as an integral part of their entertainment needs,” stated Khemani.

He also talked about how next gen consoles will support and fuel the market’s growth, and believes that the current generation of consoles will reach one million units, with 500,000 software unit sales per annum.
