Eidos Montreal Ex-Employee Giles Armstrong Joins Guerrilla Games

Presumably, he will work with the studio on stewarding the story of the Horizon sequel.

Guerrilla Games have a pretty significant addition to their team as they buckle down on their next project- which presumably will be a sequel to Horizon: Zero Dawn, their open world action RPG from last year that won rave acclaim and went on to sell 7.6 million copies worldwide.

Giles Armstrong, who has previously worked with Eidos Montreal on a bunch of projects, including Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Thief, announced on his personal Twitter account that he has joined Guerrilla Games. Armstrong’s strengths in game development have included writing and storytelling, so he is a pretty great get for Guerrilla, who surely want to expand upon the world and plot of Horizon, which was substantially praised to begin with. He’s joined the team there as Senior Writer, too. Since Horizon only launched last year, hopefully he has joined early enough in development to be enough of an influence on the next game’s development.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is available now, exclusively on the PlayStation 4.
