FromSoftware’s latest release Elden Ring has been showered with near-unanimous praise since launch, although many have noted some rough edges regarding the game’s balance and the absurd amount of damage dealt by some bosses and enemies. Its latest update, patch 1.04, saw changes to bosses like Malenia to address some of those issues, but a dataminer has since uncovered some more hidden changes introduced with the patch.

As revealed by @king_bore_haha on Twitter and demonstrated by Illusory Walls on YouTube (check out the video below), the latest update has dialed back aggression levels for certain boss fights where players have to fight two bosses at the same time, and affected bosses include the likes of Twin Crystalians and Mad Pumpkin Head, among others.

That said, other duo bosses such as the Twin Gargoyles and the Godskin Duo haven’t seen any similar changes. Other unmentioned changes to the game have revealed a nerf to The Merciless Chariot’s damage, which may not always one-shot players (should they have enough HP, of course) alongside minor adjustments to enemy hitboxes.

Elden Ring is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It has become easily one of FromSoftware’s most commercially successful games to date, selling over 13.4 million copies as of March 31- read more on that through here.
