Escape Dead Island Announced, Releasing in Autumn for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC

Find out how it all started...or lose your mind in the process.

Dead Island 2 may be exclusive to the more powerful consoles but that doesn’t mean Deep Silver has left previous gen users in the dust. It recently announced Escape Dead Island, a sort of pre-sequel that will explore the events that occurred between Dead Island 1 and 2.

It follows Cliff Calo, who takes his friends to Narapela in the Banoi Republic to try and document the outbreak of zombies that took place in the first game. This won’t be a simple romp through the jungle though. Zombies will be the least of your worries as time and reality are seemingly distorting around young Cliff. What is happening? What does it have to do with the outbreak? Why is the ocean filled with blood?

Escape Dead Island will also feature a different art-style, employing animated visuals to further push for the hallucinatory trip. It will be releasing this Fall, while Dead Island 2 will be out in Q1/Q2 of 2015.
