Turtle Rock Studios’ Evolve has received a new patch for PC which offers a number of improvements but is most notable for adding a field of view (FOV) slider into the game. Considering how FOV settings are often a touchy subject in multiplayer shooters, it would make sense for the developer to put the option in the hands of players.

The patch offers a lot of other additions though including better support for shared memory GPUs and improved stability with Direct X. Some of the more annoying bugs to have been fixed include a Windows timer problem that would affect the frame rate on some configurations; a shadow rending bug; a bug that pitted five Hunters against a single Monster; and a bug where the mouse cursor would either persist or disappear completely. There have also been changes to progression and balance in Mastery.

Check out the full patch notes here. What are your thoughts on Evolve thus far? Let us know in the comments.
