We’ve already been able to learn quite a bit about the upcoming entry into Codemasters’ Formula One simulation franchise. Now, an official gameplay trailer for F1 2018 has been released as well, and it showcases several different aspects of the game.
First of all, the trailer showcases the importance of media coverage in the game, as players will often have to deal with the press by giving interviews at the end of races. We also see that players can either choose to focus on sportsmanship or showmanship, depending on their preferred play-style. Next, the trailer showcases the creation of a driver profile for the game’s career mode. Players also get to choose their rival before they begin their career as a racer.
There will also be specific tech trees which will unique to different teams in the game, while the game will also have 20 classic cars for players to drive and to race against, and among these are also eight new classic cars. These include vehicles like the Ferrari 312 T2, Team Lotus 72D, McLaren M23- D, and more.
You can check out the entire trailer below to see what awaits you in F1 2018. The game is set to release for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One on August 24. A developer diary detailing the changes in the game’s career mode was also recently released. You can check it out here. Meanwhile, you can also read our recent interview with Lee Mather, the game’s director, though here.
