Fallout 4

Bethesda Softworks’ Fallout 4 is currently riding the hype train to its November release but there’s been an absolute fever pitch for the title in the past few years. The question that comes to mind is whether it can top Bethesda’s previous successes, including The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim which sold 20 million units in its lifetime.

Bethesda’s Pete Hines seems to think it could. Speaking to MCV, Hines said that, “I think this can top Skyrim. It could be our biggest release ever.

“But we will see. It is part of my job to build the megaphone that we hold up to the game, and the game decides how loud it goes. Just how big it is going to be is hard to say. Skyrim was a massively big deal.”

That basically means that for all the hype surrounding Fallout 4, it will still be up to the final product to deliver with its gameplay.

Fallout 4 is out on November 10th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Do you think it could sell more than Skyrim? Let us know in the comments.
