Fallout 76

A double XP weekend event is currently available for Bethesda’s Fallout 76, but even though it ends today, there’s a hefty update on the horizon. In its recent Inside the Vault series, the development team announced the next Wild Appalachia update, “Ever Upwards.” This will introduce backpacks and a new faction, the Pioneer Scouts.

Joining the Pioneer Scouts and doing tasks for them will earn badges and rank ups. If you reach the status of Possum, then you receive a backpack, which can be customized and modded. Some mods include additional damage resistance with armor plating, more carrying capacity, longer shelf-life for food, and so on.

As for the badges, they can be used at Pioneer Scout vending machines for special loot. These can be used for one’s camp to give it that scout-specific flavour. The Ever Upwards update goes live on May 7th with patch 9. Stay tuned for official patch notes in the coming week.
