Bethesda’s Fallout 76 is still a few months away, but it’s undoubtedly going to be one of the biggest titles of the year. Not only is it the next open-world title from Bethesda Game Studios, but it’s also the first time the franchise has ever truly gone online-only. There are still concerns about this approach, especially since it will never have a fully offline option, but Bethesda does seem to be making a few good moves.

For instance, consider the game’s loot. If numerous players are attacking a single monster, will everyone receive the loot (which is instanced in this case) or just the person who shot it first? Bethesda VP of marketing Pete Hines said on Twitter that all players would receive it. So that’s good news, especially for MMO and action RPG veterans.

However, a few details regarding multiplayer modded servers seem to be up in the air. Though the developer clarified that single-player servers and mod support would be coming after launch, what is the extent of mods in multiplayer? Can players enter servers where items are lost forever and bases are permanently destroyed? Hines simply replied, “We will see”.

Fallout 76 is out on November 14th for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Its beta player selection begins in October for those who pre-ordered, and arrives on Xbox One first.
