Fallout: New Vegas- Massive New Mod Takes Players To Atlanta

What happens in New Vegas doesn't stay in New Vegas, thanks to the fans.

The big reveal of Fallout 76 at E3 2018 seems to have set off a cascade of renewed interest in the series, with several large mods being released in the wake of the online only title being announced. While Fallout 4 is seeing its own Northern adventures, the older Fallout: New Vegas isn’t left out of the fun either.

The mod creator, who goes by the username Lolpop109, has revealed some footage and a description of his project, which we’ve included just below. It introduces new quests, areas, weapons and even textures to the 8 year old game, which is still regarded as a fan favourite. The mod is still in Alpha, explaining some strangeness, such as how you access it, but you can download it here.

“Welcome to Atlanta,” the mod’s description, as provided by its creator, reads. “The trading hub of the south and one of the ‘must-visit cites’ in post-apocalyptic America 2280. There’s plenty to see and there’s plenty to do in one of America’s culturally rich cites. Explore the likes of the world of Nuka Cola and the Super Duper theme park. Take a trip to the memorial park or even take a boat ride down the Chattahoochee River.

“You won’t struggle for a place to stay either, with rooms available at peach tree towers and The Marquis Hotel. Wondering how to get here? With two Airports located just outside the city, Atlanta International Airport and Fulton County Airport, you can fly right into the action.

“Live more local or fancy a road trip? Atlanta is severed with excellent highways and has rail links. Don’t miss out on your chance to experience one of Americas finest city’s. Book your stay today.”

The next entry in the series, Fallout 76 will launch this November and marks something of a change for the series by being online focused. If those last two words gave you goosebumps, the studio is pretty confident that they’ve got it covered, so, for instance, griefing isn’t a huge deal.
