Remember the story that Westworld Mobile, the mobile game based on the popular HBO show, apparently had some code wholesale that was in Bethesda’s Fallout Shelter, owing to the two games at least partially having shared developers? Remember the news that Bethesda was suing said developers (Behaviour Interactive) and Warner Bros. as a result?
If you were wondering what came of that (and I know you weren’t), well, here’s what: the suit, much like most similar lawsuits, has been settled out of court, Bethesda and Behaviour Interactive announced in a joint statement today. The exact terms of the settlement were not disclosed (they almost never are), but the reasonable assumption is Bethesda was paid a fair bit of money, and/or royalties from Westworld Mobile, which made pursuing legal action financially unattractive as a result in comparison.
But yes, in the end, this is presumably the last we will hear of this. Westworld Mobile is out now on iOS and Android; Fallout Shelter is out on iOS, Android, PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.
