Originally due out on February 18, 2021, Ubisoft recently announced that Far Cry 6 had been delayed by some months, and would be launching between April and September of the year. Though an official announcement of a new release date is yet to be made, it seems a premature Microsoft listing may have spilled the beans.
The game’s Xbox store page mentions its release date as May 26, 2021 (or May 25, depending on what region you’re in). The late May launch date would fall in line with the new launch window that Ubisoft recently mentioned for the game, so it seems like a likely scenario. Until Ubisoft confirms this officially, though, it’s best to file this as a rumour. You can check out a screencap of the game’s current Microsoft store listing below.
Whenever Far Cry 6 does launch, it will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia. On PS5 and Xbox Series X, the game will run in 4K at 60 frames per second.
