The entry for this year’s annual football series, FIFA 20, got a much more mixed reception than usual due to several nagging issues despite a decent amount of new content. But that didn’t seem to matter all that much, as the game’s sales got off to a great start anyway, and has become a resounding success for publisher EA. It’s already accrued an impressive amount of players.

Despite only releasing on September 27th, FIFA 20 already has 10 million players worldwide, the publisher announced. That’s a staggering amount in such a short time, but goes to show just how strong the band of FIFA is. To celebrate, EA is giving new players who purchase the game before October 17 8,000 Volta Coins. That’ll start your football career off on the right foot (no pun intended).

FIFA 20 is available now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. For some tips on how to build the ultimate team, we’ve got a handy guide for you through here.
