The latest weekly charts for boxed video game sales in the UK are in, and FIFA 21 has nabbed the top spot for the fifth consecutive week, starting with its launch (via GamesIndustry). Overall, physical software sales in the UK have gone up 13% week-on-week, what with lockdown restrictions being imposed once again, and Nintendo Switch games in particular have seen boosted sales.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons has climbed back to second place with a 22% week-on-week increase in sales, and other Switch titles have enjoyed similar increases. That includes Mario Kart 8 Deluxe in third place (with a 41% week-on-week boost), Minecraft’s Switch version in fifth place (39%), Super Mario 3D All-Stars in sixth place (24%), and Ring Fit Adventure at No. 7 (69%).
Watch Dogs: Legion, which debuted in second place last week, has dropped 58% week-on-week in sales, dropping down to No. 4. Meanwhile, the recently released Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered and DiRT 5 both failed to break into the top 10, debuting at No. 35 and No. 38 respectively.
