Final Fantasy 14 Shadowbringers Listed For Xbox One By Brazilian Ratings Board

Those talks must have been very close to concluding.

Final Fantasy 14_ A Requiem for Heroes

Square Enix has expressed a desire to bring Final Fantasy 14, it’s extremely popular MMORPG based on its flagship RPG series, to more platforms in the past. As recently as last week, we reported the publisher is continuing to talk to Microsoft, Nintendo, and Google about porting the game to their platforms.

It seems like those talks might be at an end, at least on the Xbox side. Generacion Xbox has noticed that the Brazilian ratings board has a listing for an Xbox One version of Final Fantasy 14: Shadowbringers, right alongside the PS4 and PC listings. Ratings board listings are usually excellent indicators of unannounced games or versions—and while this isn’t quite a full-fledged official confirmation, it’s pretty close to being one, and we can probably expect an announcement for Xbox One some time soon now.

It also implies that this may be another game where Sony ended up budging on cross-platform play, since that was the issue that was preventing further porting of the title.
