Final Fantasy 15 will support Sony’s PlayStation 4 Pro console when it releases- but it sounds like most of the work has gone into ensuring that the game runs properly on existing PlayStation 4 (and presumably, Xbox One) consoles.

In a new Active Time ReportFinal Fantasy 15 director Hajime Tabata discussed the PS4 Pro, noting that the game will support the new console, and even have some optimizations for it, but not sharing many details on what those improvements may be. That, plus his insistence that the game is still being optimized for standard PS4 systems, seems to indicate that whatever PS4 Pro improvements do exist will most likely be minor at best, and can be safely ignored (perhaps a resolution jump only?).

The standard PS4 version of Final Fantasy 15, meanwhile, continues to look great, and it looks like the team is taking all the extra time they have to make even the standard versions of the game look the best that they can. Final Fantasy 15 will release on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 worldwide on November 29.
