After over three years of radio silence from Square Enix on Final Fantasy 7 Remake, we finally got a new and refreshed look at the highly anticipated RPG, giving us a look at how much progress had been made in development since we had last seen it. Speaking of progress- it looks like there’s been plenty of it, because as it turns out, we might be getting treated to a proper gameplay demonstration for the game very soon.
Speaking on USGamer’s Axe of the Blood God podcast, the site’s editor in chief, Kat Bailey, brought up the topic of Final Fantasy 7 Remake (via ResetEra). Interestingly enough, she mentioned that she knows someone who’s played a demo for the game, before going on to mention that we’ll be seeing said demo “sooner rather than later”.
That’s doubly interesting, because when Square Enix showed off the game’s new trailer recently, they said that they’d be giving more updates on the game in June- which, incidentally, is when the company will be holding its E3 press event. It’s likely, then, that we might be seeing Final Fantasy 7 Remake in action pretty soon- but don’t take this as confirmation just yet.
