final fantasy 7 remake

It’s been 23 years now since the original PlayStation release of Final Fantasy 7. Now the remake is almost officially here (though some regions have already gotten their hands on the game), and well, things have certainly changed haven’t they? The technology has progressed a lot in the last two and an half decades, and today we got a video showing just how much.

The video comes from Gamereactor, which you can see in full through here. The graphics obviously are radically different, which is to be expected. But there’s also direct comparisons between scenes of the game from each version, and just the framing and voice acting can make a world of difference.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake will release exclusively for the PlayStation 4 officially on April 10th. You can read our review of the RPG through here. Unfortunately, if you have the game pre-ordered digitally, you’ll have to wait for that fateful day before it’ll unlock.
