Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade hasn’t been getting the most positive reception, mostly because of the recent PC port. On top of costing $70 and being exclusive to the Epic Games Store, it has a myriad of performance issues with Digital Foundry’s John Linneman describing it as a “mess.” There is a silver lining, at least for those who redeemed the game when it was free for PS4 with PlayStation Plus – they can upgrade to the PS5 version on December 22nd.
This wasn’t originally an option and is more or less standard for PS4 titles on PS Plus that also have PS5 versions. However, subscribers who didn’t purchase the full game can now benefit from improved visuals, 60 FPS gameplay and much more for free. If that weren’t enough, Episode INTERmission which stars Yuffie Kisaragi in her own separate side-story is also 25 percent off.
