Final Fantasy VII

There’s very little doubt that the people who make up the Final Fantasy VII fanbase are a devoted bunch. Not only do they love the game itself but they also love the music that goes along with it. With the recent announcement that the game is getting a remake, a large group of fans have decided to put their own spin on the haunting music and sounds from the original.

MATERIA: Final Fantasy VII Remixed is a five disc collection that is being put together in honor of the remake announcement. The group has taken the talents of more than 200 musicians that include renowned remixers, performers, YouTube personalities and composers. The performers have all come together in order to pay tribute to Nobuo Uematsu’s soundtrack.

The full album has 88 items and will cost you $19.99 but if you love the music of the Final Fantasy series and especially love the tunes included in the seventh interation in the series then the pricetag is probably worth it to you. You can download it on iTunes, or if you are using an Apple Music subscription, you can stream whatever songs from the full album your little heart desires. If you aren’t quite sure whether the album rates downloading it for the rather hefty pricetag and you don’t want to sign up for Apple Music, you can also check out a bit of a teaser of what’s included in this massive remix project in the video below. The Final Fantasy VII remake does not yet have a release date.
