Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Screenshots – A Closer Look at Environments

Square's relaunch looks better and better on the way to its summer launch.

Square Enix has released 18 new screenshots for the upcoming console MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, which is a relaunch of the IP with retooled graphics and other features. Check ’em out below.

After FFXIV received a universal panning, Square Enix took it upon themselves to expend a large amount of resources on improving the experience. This included a new graphics engine, which looks vastly improved from the original release, a new battle system, large scale Player vs Player combat, new jobs like Arcanist and Summoner and skills, new monsters, new areas and much more.

It’s like they actually bothered to give a damn this time around, even if that means draining a significant amount of the company’s resources on the game.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is set to release this summer for PC and PS3. It is currently in the beta testing stage in North America.
