Naughty Dog founder and former THQ president Jason Rubin recently tweeted about the PS4 and Xbox One coming up against more powerful tablets in the next few years. Such a fact has been espoused again and again, especially given the advances made in mobile technology within the past year (the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 and Nvidia Tegra 4 are the most recent examples). In a follow-up tweet, Rubin stated that it’s only inevitable given the long cycle consoles have.
@JHappach Something that updates every year (or more) is inevitably going to pass something fixed for 8 years (if the cycle goes that long)

Rubin also commented on console exclusive games and how there’s a difference between Sony and Nintendo in the approaches to the same.
@bigfranky75 Sony was selling a lot of hardware. Nintendo is not. It isn't about loyalty, it is about profitability. No hypocrasy, biz sense

And sadly, Nintendo can’t use the aspect of selling more consoles than Sony to justify the same.
@Stealth____ @bigfranky75 That is a historic fact. WiiU ends that reign. PS4 probably outsold WiiU opening weekend.

Rubin finally confirms what we’ve known for a while: That Nintendo is just merely passing through the next gen console war, especially in light of the successful PS4 and Xbox One launches.
@Stealth____ @bigfranky75 Selling less than 4 million WiiU's in launch year is not competition, it's noise.
